audio induction

Permanent induction loops for hearing impaired audiences can be found in the Erlangen Markgrafentheater (stalls, rows 4 – 12) as well as in Stadttheater Fürth (in the stalls if the orchestra pit is not in use). For the duration of the festival temporary induction devices will be installed in the following venues: Experimentiertheater, Glocken-Lichtspiele, Kulturzentrum E-Werk (only Großer Saal), Redoutensaal and Theater in der Garage. The Tafelhalle in Nuremberg also offers audio induction on a permanent basis. Audiences with hearing impairment can either use headphones or their own hearing aid (if suitable for audio induction) to take advantage of this offer. Receiving devices with mini induction loops can be borrowed free of charge at the box offices. We kindly ask you to bring your own headphones if possible.

Below you can find an overview of all performances presented with audio induction. Due to technical reasons, all performance dates of the piece are displayed even though not all venues may offer audio induction. Please note the following:

Audio induction only for the performances in Erlangen (not Kulturforum Fürth and Theater Salz & Pfeffer):
Theater Kuckucksheim | „Glopf an die Himmelsdür – Ein fränkischer Western“
Barbara Matijević & Guiseppe Chico | „Forecasting“

Audio induction only for the performances in Nuremberg (not Kulturforum Fürth):
Meinhardt & Krauss cinematographic theatre | Robot Dreams

Audio induction only for the performances in Erlangen and Nuremberg (not Kulturforum Fürth): Compagnie Selon l’Heure & Ali Moini | „Man anam ke rostam bovad pahlavan“

Thank you for your understanding! Please get in touch at barrierefrei@figurentheaterfestival.de should you have any questions or suggestions!

Since puppet, object and image theatre functions essentially on a visual level, many performances do without or with little spoken language and are hence inherently suitable for hearing impaired audiences (this does of course not apply for performances essentially  depending on music and sounds). An overview of all these performances can be found in the category “without words”.

In addition, some of the international companies present their performances in the original language with German surtitles – these pieces can generally also be recommended to audiences with hearing impairment. An overview of all surtitled productions can be found in the category “surtitles”.

We look forward to welcoming you at the 21st international figuren.theater.festival!
