Die Geister, die wir rufen – rufen zurück
Why not look at things this way for once: our life is pure enchantment! We enchant everything around us. We release our spirits into the air, into the water—calling them elves, nixies, mermen, or household spirits. In doing so, we animate our surroundings, turning them into beings we can engage with. Our environment becomes a personal world shaped by the spirits we project into it.
Christoph Bochdansky delights in these spirits. With his puppets, he conjures demons, elves, and angels—dancing with them through their enchanted realms. We witness what happens when we place a curse upon ourselves, what mischief the night wind stirs, and what two souls whisper to each other on their journey to the beyond. Spirits are a poetic principle, and poetry, at times, is nothing less than an invocation of spirits.
Please note: Stage fog is used in the production.
