Chatterbox – Make your own news!
Let your thoughts speak for themselves: Here the strange meets the familiar, divination meets fact, information meets fiction. An interactive performance to smile, marvel and discuss!
The audience is asked to randomly draw a topic or contribute their own – whether social issues, personal worries or wishes for the future. A “very personal live avatar” takes up the thoughts submitted: Sometimes nagging, sometimes euphoric and optimistic, but also peppered with dystopia and pessimism or perhaps even phlegmatic. Each person determines the direction of the thoughts with their own algorithms and through targeted control. The interplay of live performance and artificial intelligence creates a unique statement on each topic. Whether it’s a vision of the future, a social debate or even a touch of fortune-telling – at “Chatterbox” you create the narrative. Be part of a playful experiment between control, chance, AI and creativity!
Paul Schmidt and Wally Schmidt, who founded Nuremberg’s Theater Salz+Pfeffer and ran it until summer 2024, are now active under the name Theater SalzstreuNer. They are increasingly performing in public spaces with new projects and continue to show their repertoire. They will be showing the well-known “Shakespeare: As You Like It” from Theater Salz+Pfeffer at the festival in Schwabach.
