Teatro Due Mondi (IT)
Fiesta
Whether it’s a dramatic shipwreck, a jealous duel, a turbulent rendezvous, or a fight for freedom: Teatro Due Mondi conjures up a South American-Mediterranean flair with short burlesque stories from the world of Gabriel García Márquez’s novels. The carnival-like theater parade on stilts, with colorful costumes, masks, flags, whistles and live music, enchants young and old alike.
Teatro Due Mondi is an independent theatre group from Faenza, Italy. Since its founding in 1979, the group has explored issues related to coexistence in contemporary society. Its aesthetic is characterized by directness and immediate contact with the audience. Teatro Due Mondi can also be seen with the street theatre performance “Carosello” on 24 May in the Fürth pedestrian zone.
