Tineola Theater (CZ)
Große und kleine Welten
Tiny and yet of cosmic significance – the hero of Michaela Bartoňová and Ralf Lücke’s new production is a bacterium. In a world hidden from humans, it nevertheless has an enormous effect. It lives, multiplies, interacts with its environment and influences human existence in a profound way. Modern technologies such as light microscopes and digital image processing allow us to immerse ourselves in this strange dimension. AI, animated drawings and artistic visualizations make the invisible visible.
The performance tells of the search and motivation of science: pictorial, artistic, informative. Based on discoveries from the micro-world, an astonishing kaleidoscope of live-drawn images is created on the screen, merging with objects, dance and puppet theatre. The delicate structures and fascinating processes of microbial life are revealed, art is combined with science and a stage is created on which the smallest enters into a dialog with the largest. Because the universe is reflected in the tiny bacterium – full of secrets, full of life.
On Saturday, 24 May , the group is offering the workshop “Making the invisible visible” at 4:30 pm.
