Compagnie Modo Grosso (BE)

How can time be made tangible? How can it be given shape, captured in motion? This is the challenge that this artistic piece dares to take on. In a fantastical universe suspended between poetry and physics, object theatre and circus, threads and chains glide through hands, spill into vessels,and find their own way. Gravity, motion, magnetism – a daring juggling act with time itself. Alternating between light and complete darkness, in a poetic and highly individual rhythm, the symbolism of the objects is conveyed through their kinetics, their sound and their lighting. Alexis Rouvre describes it as “a glimpse into the reverse side of the moment, which opens up, contains everything, fades away and yet always preserves everything”.

The Compagnie Modo Grosso was founded in 2015 through the encounter between circus artist Alexis Rouvre and dancer and visual artist Tiziano Lavoratornovi. At the heart of their work lies an exploration of the relationship and movement between objects and the human body.
