The new production by half past selber schuld takes a closer look at the “human” animal. Why do we keep getting involved in the same tragedies? Why don’t we choose a different path? If everything is a game, could we not change the rules of the game? Or can we only save ourselves by creating something that is different from us? Using puppetry, shadow theatre and projections, with many 2D objects and mechanical elements, half past selber schuld presents an ugly picture of society in entertaining episodes.

half past selber schuld lives in Düsseldorf and consists of Ilanit Magarshak-Riegg and Sir ladybug beetle. The German-Israeli duo is widely regarded as the inventors of the stage comic. Since 1998, they have been producing musical comics for the theatre, radio plays, music, short films and, during the pandemic, a book. In addition to numerous awards and sponsorships, the duo won the TV show “RTL Puppenstars” in 2016.
