Wolf trifft Nager
An ageing wolf and a hypochondriac rabbit meet in a doctor’s surgery. Normally the wolf would gobble up the rabbit immediately, but lately he has stomach problems and hasn’t been feeling like himself: he can’t run as fast as he used to, his fur is turning grey and his eyesight and hearing are getting worse. The rabbit, on the other hand, knows all about illnesses, claiming to have had every single one. After the doctor’s diagnosis ‘You’re simply getting old’, the wolf devours the doctor in the heat of the moment and the two animals strike a deal with serious consequences: the rabbit tries to cure the wolf, who, in return, promises not to eat him _ well, at least for the time being. But little by little, the partnership of convenience turns into mutual sympathy and affection. But can a wolf and a rabbit really become friends?
Sibylle Grüter and Jacqueline Surer founded Theater Gustavs Schwestern in 2005 and have been performing for children and adults ever since. Their productions have been presented in theatres in Switzerland and at festivals abroad, including “Der Tag, an dem Louis gefressen wurde” and “Määäh! Ein Schafskrimi” at the international figuren.theatre.festival 2023 in Erlangen. “Wolf trifft Nager”, inspired by Josephine Mark’s award-winning comic “Trip mit Tropf” (Kibitz Verlag), is a play about getting older, dealing with illness and an unexpected friendship between the generations.
